Alessandro Bossi (Born 1956, Candidate Master) A lawyer by profession, Alessandro first developed a passion for chess in the early 70's, just before the famous match between Fischer and Spassky (1972). Over the years he has won more than forty prizes in chess events, for instance he was champion of the province of Varese in 2019. He is co-founder of the chess club "Esteban Canal", situated in the same province, where he also acts as trainer. Fond of history, he has written two short biographies on the lives of Galileo Galilei and of Abraham Lincoln, as supplements to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, published in 2019 and 2020.
