The “Dresden Files” is a TV series based on Jim Butcher’s popular novels. In this fun series, Harry Dresden (Paul Blackthorne), the son of a witchy woman, hangs out his shingle as” Harry Dresden Wizard.” For a little extra spending cash, he weasels his way into the local Police department as a consultant. He cozies up to Lt. Connie Murphy (Valerie Cruz) by making her the best case-resolver on weird happenings. The weird happenings are usually some sort of Black Magic skullduggery. Harry corrects the situation (sometimes temporarily) and gives a practical explanation to Murphy to use. However, Murphy suspects something else is going on and cannot put her finger on it. Not following the book meant the series’ demise. Too bad, I thought it was fun in its own right.
