The Dream Factory is a surreal and uplifting comedy spattered with strawberry jam. Based on a diary kept by Ed Page while working as the temporary laundry manager at a jam factory, this book relates the rather strange events that unfolded during his short time in the job.

The jam factory is bought by mysterious new owners soon after he starts working there. It is then that changes begin to take place, changes that awaken his suspicions as to the motives of the unknown people now in charge. On the surface they seem beneficial and geared towards the happiness of the staff, but are they too good to be true?

As these changes ignite his intrigue, Ed meets Patty, a woman who enjoys saucy and jammy fun in the boiler room. As this relationship grows, large redundancies reduce his laundry workload and give him more time to investigate what is really going on. What does he discover?
