The Dream Analyst and the Preacher is the second in a series called "Dream Analyst Novels." It is a continuation of The Dream Analyst and the Teacher, which tells the background story about the main character of all of the novels, psychotherapist and dream analyst, Dr. Laura Christopher. In The Dream Analyst and the Preacher, Laura is writing a book about the metaphysical meanings of the parables from the Bible. She wants to compare them with the traditional interpretations.
