The Dread: A Halloween, College Romance

If there's one constant in Vanessa Hodges's tumultuous life, it's her love for an obscure movie from the '80s called The Dread. To say that she's a die-hard fan of the horror movie that consumed her formative years, as well as her early twenties, would be an understatement.

Except here's the thing: No one else seemed to have watched the movie, making her feel alone, sad, and unable to relate to anyone.

In a last-ditch attempt to find someone who'd recognize her love for the movie, Vanessa decides to dress up as the monster from The Dread for the Halloween party her community college is throwing.

There she meets Brian Wilcox, who's also dressed as one of the characters from the movie.

One thing leads to the other and before they know it, the two of them are making out passionately in the chemistry lab.
