Having read and enjoyed the first two books in the Warders series written by Armen Porgharian, I knew I would enjoy the third offering in the series, The Dragon's Den. Even though this is not my usual book genre (one geared toward a teenage audience) to read or listen to, I was entertained by this fantasy adventure. The book is delightful with quite the cast of characters. Elves, dwarves, some that readers met in the first books, and a powerful sorceress all fit the medieval time. Readers will delve further into this magical time as The Warders, with the now-proven mage, Adara, are in a race against time to stop the evil Chaotic Order from finding and releasing the power of an ancient magical scepter. With engaging storytelling the author keeps the reader's interest high with suspense, mystery, and some edge-of-the-seat action as the characters find themselves headed to the danger of the dragon's den. The narrator, Michelle Babb, does an excellent job of giving characters their unique voice, making for an enjoyable listening experience. I enjoyed the book and look forward to listening to any other books in this series. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.
