The Double-Booked Murder: A witty, clue-filled cosy mystery set in Mallorca
A witty, clue-filled cosy mystery with slow-burn romance, perfect for fans of Knives Out, The Thursday Murder Club, and Richard Osman.
Lead archivist Gemma Finch came to Mallorca for one reason: to stop thinking about her ex.
Instead, she finds herself stranded in a luxurious cliffside villa after a booking mix-up, sharing the house with an infuriatingly charming Scottish true-crime writer, a billionaire with too many enemies... and a killer.
When their wealthy host dies from what appears to be a carefully planned poisoning, a violent storm cuts the villa off from the outside world. With no escape and everyone under suspicion, Gemma can't resist doing what she does best: putting the evidence in order.
While bestselling travel writer Euan Vance relies on instinct, charm, and asking entirely the wrong questions, Gemma trusts colour-coded notes, impeccable records, and the comforting belief that every mystery can be solved if the facts are filed correctly.
But someone has worked just as carefully to hide the truth.
As old family secrets surface and long-buried crimes begin to connect, Gemma and Euan must untangle a puzzle decades in the making before the storm passes-and before the killer decides the meticulous archivist knows far too much.
Packed with fair-play clues, razor-sharp banter, unforgettable characters, and a slow-burn romance, The Double-Booked Murder is a cosy mystery that will keep you guessing until the final page.
