When a senior archivist within the Vatican decides to expose all the books of the Old and New Testaments to the Dominion Algorithm -an advance AI system nothing prepares him for what follows. Monsignor Emile Tremblay embarks on a clandestine crusade to prove the Bible and scriptures are full of falsehoods and error and therefore cannot be the voice of God.
He does so because he also carries a secret- he no longer believes in God or an afterlife: he is a priest in crisis. As custodian of the Vatican's most cherished treasure - his great fall from grace only compounds his role.
