The Dog Dialogues is a wonderfully written tale (no pun intended) that inspires all pet companions to see the world through the eyes of our beloved pet-friends - be they horses, goats, dogs, etc. The inventive dialogues created by the author, Hinson Miller, puts into words the emotions felt by all who are blessed with pet soul-mates. And the beautiful illustrations speak volumes all on their own. The Dog Dialogues is a must have for all pet companions!

"Fence Insults" is worth the price of this book!

I must have read this chapter 5 times and I still laugh so hard I cry! What a gem this book is for those of us who appreciate the nuances of animal communication. Each chapter is a delightful morsel of insight and humor. The author captures both the superficial and the deep messages surrounding human-pet and pet-pet relations. I plan to keep this book on my desk when I need to lighten up and have a good laugh during my day.

What a gem!

I received a copy of "Dog Dialogues" as a gift last month - what a great book for all animal lovers - and there are many of us. It's comforting to know that others do hear their animals "speak" and to see this in print is wonderful. This is a tremendous "gift" for all of us - so thanks to the author for being courageous enough to write this. I'm looking forward to the next one...

The Dog Dialogues

Laura Hinson Miller has a way of telling her stories with humor and reality all mixed together to make us believe she actually does have talking pets. Anyone who has lived with their pet for many years knows that we tend to personify our furry friends. They have that certain "look" when they want something from us. Some of our dogs and cats even have mannerisms that make us think they are talking to us telepathically. Well, Laura hears her dogs loud and clear. So she has given them their voice and in so doing takes their stories and completes them for us humans. Now, when the dog leaves the yard to go on a merry adventure, we understand what they are really thinking and why they left in the first place. Knowing both sides of the story makes it hilarious. She tells her stories so vividly that I actually thought I did hear her dog talking. This was such a fun read that I read it out loud to my husband and 21 and 9 year old sons on a long car trip. After every story I stopped and asked, do you want me to read another? Several quick nods and I read another, and another and another and you get it, I read the entire book to them. Our only disappointment was that it was over and we still had time left in our car. Too bad there isn't another book of these stories told the way only Laura can tell it.
