Wish I read it 6 months earlier.

This is the best book for divorcing women that I have ever read. I wish I had read it six months earlier than I did. Everything I was thinking and feeling and saying was in this book. She hit it dead on. I have bought several copies for others since. A must read for any woman who has just been hit with the shock of an unexpected divorce. Great chapters about the feelings, the process and how to get your act back together when its done. Vicki King is my new hero!!

Much needed humor!

This book gives the realistic take on divorce with a lot of humor thrown in, which makes a bad situation survivable. Her advice is sound, but most of all, it is just another's story of divorce, but put in a down-to-earth way. Her stories and perspective gave me the ability to keep my head up and know I'm not alone. Definitely a change from the other books on divorce, and a must read for any woman going through it.

A Must Read!

This book is well written; its style is both fresh and humorous. The author very candidly, shows what the journey of divorce is truly like and the grief that plagues you, that feels like forever. Divorce is like a death and at times, you feel that you are the only one who has ever gone through it. However, reading this book I found something in every chapter, where I was saying" yes- I felt that way or I experiences the same exact scenario" The best friend gives insight on what people that love you are going through, and at times in an amusing witty way. This book lets you know that there is life after divorce. To my friends at The Divorced Girls' Society: well done!
