Missing from most discussions of the dismissal of the Whitlam government in 1975 is any consideration of what happened in the Senate-where the action really took place. Most of the accounts have concentrated on Mr Whitlam, on the House of Representatives, and on the Governor-General. This complements other accounts that have appeared.
The latter part of the book concerns life in the leafy and pleasant suburb of Mosman in Sydney.
