There was a Kingdom where honesty was unheard of. Even the king ruled with deception and all the people followed suit, without consequences. Everyone new each other's schemes of deception, including the king himself. The sneakiness, underhanded and tricky things, were practiced, all the time.
Until, a clever con artist arrived with a mysterious magical box. He claimed, it would reveal a person's integrity, whether or not a person was dishonest just by standing before it and asking that question. All those who remain dishonest, paid a fine making the king richer. No one dear to expose one another because In this Kingdom, (Snitches get Stitches, ) Everyone paid up. They grew tired of losing money. Finally because it was easier and less costly, everyone decided to be Honest.
Just as the con artist predicted. The Kingdom did become prosperous. In the end, everyone was happy, even the con artist settled down.
But ... was the box really Magical. Everyone looked inside... And one ever said a word. The Kingdom is now known as Fair Haven.
