The disguise of madness tells the story of Iselzo Urraca in his native land The Dominican Republic. Iselzo met Yina when he was very young. He loves her, hates her then loves her again. The story involves the magic of a small town and the city. Both Iselzo and Yina meet Jorge's wife in separate paths. The four of them fall in a benefit-amorous circle without knowing. Or do they? The book becomes a race as Iselzo, the politician, and the politician's wife all want Yina in their lives. Will Iselzo be able to compete against the politician and his lady?
Iselzo's character is mean, intuitive, sadistic and out of this world. The book talks about the greatness of the land where the story takes place, the sadness of leaving what one loves behind and the hurt caused by having to see it again especially when you are unable to keep it. The corruption in the system, economical hierarchies, bitterness and romanticism are all over the book. Are you ready for the tragedies, melancholy and the dark and sour humor of the book?Related Subjects
