The Diplomat and Desperado Stories

A series set in the 4th or 5th Millennium Featuring two Agents from Noirtown, The Diplomat and The Desperado. Everything in Noirtown is in black and white with shades of gray, except for their hair which is naturally streaked with blue. They are often seen with painted-on eye masks. Weather in Noirtown is 'usually cloudy with rain-soaked streets'. At night one can hear gunshots, police sirens, and the screeching of tires. Bright street lights create shadows of men and women wearing hats, running furtively, and are seen in exaggerated size on graffiti-laden walls of brick warehouses. Our two Agents work primarily in the Earthly Realm's past history on short interventions hopefully not exceeding a forty-eight hour time limit. Dreadful things happen to them if they exceed the limit. The Interventions are set up by Phoebe (The Spirit of the Third Mythical Oracle of the Temple of Delphi) and Mister E, the Spirit of Nikola Tesla. The interventions usually involve adjustments in Earth's Historical Timeline, failed assassinations, and other events.
