In a fast-paced debut thriller from Rowland Stewart, a terrorist bioweapon threatens the United States and forces a controversial defensive response. When two of his patients die, a small-town doctor... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Stewart's style is as easy to read as Grisham's with the intricate and twisted plots found in Crighton's work. Characters were wonderfully developed. I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed it from cover to cover and was excited to see the ending lead to a possible sequel. Not only was it a great fiction novel but it was real enough to make your mind whirrl with ideas of "what could actually happen if...." Great new author can't wait to see more of his work
An engaging philosophical page-turner

I really enjoy the works of folks like Robin Cook, Michael Crichton and Clive Cussler and found that Rowland Stewarts first offering "The Dilemma" is built around similar approaches to storytelling. Stewart creates interesting and strong characters (which you can easily visualize, and often relate to) which drive the story forward into a tangle of situations that are not only harrowing, but also underpin a plot that keeps you thinking about it long after you put the book down. I will look forward to the next offering and will keep Rowland Stewart in my stable of writers who offer exciting and stimulating fiction.
Two Thumbs Up!

This is my first read by this author but I really liked this book. If you like the intrigue / thriller fiction genre (Baldacci, Sandford, Stephen B. Hunter, etc.) this books is right up your alley. To me, the best part was that the plot and premise were realistic but also fresh and exciting. This is not just another twist on a hackneyed government conspiracy platform. The plot was very well paced and taut throughout. I learned a lot from this book but it was not a technical manual / white paper like some of the Clancy, etc. books tend to be. Excellent character development and an ending you don't see coming the whole time. All in all a very entertaining read and highly recommended. I hear he's got another one coming out soon and I will definitely purchase that one as well.
Edge of your seat book!

I really enjoyed this book and I was definitely on the edge of my seat. If you liked "The Firm" by John Grisham then you will like this "man throw in the hot seat" style of action. Worth every penny.
great read

I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller--couldn't wait for the next twist and was not disappointed. I recommend the book to anyone who enjoys medical/current event thrillers.
