This book is written in an unusual style. It is something of a philosophical approach to the forth telling of the biblical message. It does focus upon the teaching, example, person and actions of Jesus Christ. However, it is deliberate in unfolding a valuable comparison of Christian faith and Islam. Yet it goes beyond Islam, giving general application and brief comparision to all forms of religion. Daniel calls for people to be open to explore and test the claims of truth made by any person, religion, or religious leader. Daniel Shayesteh is very eager to share with all nations and peoples of the world, the joy, and wisdom and freedom of knowing God. This knowing of God - he reasons - is possible in and through the person of Jesus Christ. The author was formerly a Muslim, and at one time a political leader from Iran, with Ayatollah Khomeini. Daniel came to know Christ in the midst of a painful crisis of life, vocation, religious confusion and family life. He has learned much through suffering, and through the kindness of God. The author - always an intelligent man, with qualifications from Allameh Tabatabaei University, in Tehran and from Istanbul University, Turkey, and more recently from Morling College, Sydney Australia - now has much to draw upon and impart from his lifetime of experience. A good book, which will provoke thought, questions and possible some reaction. It is also a book to promote openness to learning the truth and goal of life.
