Cia Snow and her husband Jock moved to Oak Grove, Louisiana after retiring from their jobs earlier that year. Jock was excited to be close to his family, friends, and living in the small town he'd grown up in. Cia, though, was over the moon about renovating the 1913 Sears and Roebuck kit home they had bought. She loved every minute of making the decisions and designing her new, old home. Cia's cousin, Kathryn came to visit often during the renovation. They loved exploring the family tree, sharing old photos, family tales, and working on the house remodel. The more the two women discussed their families the more Cia longed to remember anything good about her childhood. Kathryn suggested, maybe it was time to seek therapy about the family dynamics and her childhood. At the first meeting the therapist suggested Cia keep a diary of her thoughts, feelings, daily life. She had said, "Sometimes writing about events help you to remember them and may even help your life become more settled and full." As soon as she left the therapy office, Cia bought a diary and began writing the very same day.
