I was just getting started on the tale of Lament's Ridge. You heard this one before?
If you have, well... I reckon I tell it a little different. If you haven't, get yourself comfortable.
It's a doozy.
Wait, before we get to all that, there's something I need to tell you about this story and where it came from.
You see, this story has been buried. For decades. The author found it again while going through an old, dusty box of manuscripts. Now, he'd published it once before, but sneaky ol' Bats went and pulled it from the shelves. He needed to add something to it.
But we'll get to that later. I'm just here to let you know that this story, much like the place in the story itself, was buried.
And now it ain't.
Lament's Ridge 1883
A marked man is called upon by Miss Isobel Caine, owner of the Widow's Rest Hotel in town. The man returns, quickly he is made the towns new Sheriff. The other one had been erased. Another cursed name written in the ledger. If your name ends up in that thing it's pretty much adios amigos. The Red Psalter is found, a chapel burns twice, a brothel is swallowed I to the ground.
The dead walk and they're writing names where they ought not to.
Something hungers beneath the ridge outside of town.
Elijah Grey is about to find out some debts are sewed into the genes with a fine red thread.
Enter if you dare. The story has all the good parts and alot of bad, dark grotesque scenes and characters.
