The purpose of the Bible is to inform us the basics of why we were created, and how we can have a relationship with our Creator. As we go to the book of Genesis, we discover the foundation for everything that follows in the Bible as to why that original relationship was damaged. God says that the barrier between Himself and His creation is caused by sin and rebellion, and that sin always results in spiritual death and separation from God. The foundational principle of sin and death is set in stone, and everything that follows in Scripture must yield to this truth, or we are believing a lie. The devil says that this law is not true.
