The town was alive with cats. Sam, Nydia, and Little Sam had never seen so many of them. The cats' eyes were glowing slits as they watched the newcomers. And their furry tails were slowly switching back and forth. . . The town was ripe with evil. Soon Sam, Nydia and Little Sam would battle the forces of darkness, standing alone against the ultimate predator--The Devil's Cat. Book cover designed with horror hologram.

great horror book

This book is all about a family that comes to a town looking for evil & they end up finding in the form of cats hence the title devils cat. I would not recommend this book for young readers. I myself considerate it a great book it is interesting and very very gory. Fool of super natural binges that emerge from the gates of hell. In this book the towns people (most of them) go to the side of evil and intern join the colt witch are sex mad people as they say in the book "they will breed with any thing".it is a bit sad when you think about it because the people that stayed on the side of good have to kill all the people that went to the side of evil even thou they are people that they have known all there lives. All in all I love this book & would recommend it for any body that loves horror & and hardcore sex & rape. So in joy. Hope it helps

The Devil's Cat Delivers!!!!!

I have got to say that personally I was very inpressed with the horror aspect that this book contains, I mean, I actually felt like I was inside the story. If you are someone who gets into horror stories saturated with immense sexuality, then whoah ----check this one out. The one thing that hits me and actually shocks me with William W. Johnstone's writing is his almost rated X perverseness that he writes into a lot of his books. Maybe since I'm a girl, most people probably think that I shouldn't get into stuff like that, but I've loved this kind of stuff since I was like 11 years old. I begged my dad to buy this book for me when it first came out when I was like 13 years old and, well, what drew my attention to it was like the scary hologram picture on the front cover; I was like, "This has to be an awesome scary read!"....and it was. I like the grossness of the nasty stuff that happens in it and the hilarity of things that probably under normal circumstances wouldn't be funny, but when you read how they were written about in this novel, well, I had to laugh (like for example the guy who danced around nakid in his backyard in all that cat poop, and the guy who got his head knocked off by an out of control devil monster and the guy who thought he was a cat who was crawling around nude and purring in the doctor's office). Also, I actually loved the rape scene where the teenage boys only 13 and 14 years old raped the 15 year old girl. I think that the girl (Andrea) should have agreed to be a willing participant in that, if the boys were cute anyways, she could have had herself some FUN! So if you like creepy dark horror filled with stinky poopy-smelling cats and thunderstorms and maggots and blood and guts and zombie creatures and lots and lots of sexually out of control people and rape scenerios, then check out The Devil's Cat! I am a huge William W. Johnstone fan, and so far I think that this book of his is one of my most favorite!

A sequel to Cat's Cradle

The two main charaters (the Devil's Child and the Cat) who barely survived in the last book return in this sequel. Their roles are greatly reduced and only make a token appearance in the book and really have a more supportive role here then in the first book. The story is somewhat fast paced with some light , humorous moments as the badly burned Devil's Child and the Cat are put on the side lines and mostly secondary agents are used to attempt to do the bidding of The Devil's Child, Cat and Satan himself. The hero of the story is the son of the sheriff who died in battle with the Devil's Child and Cat in the last book (shades of Sam Balon here) as he attempts to battle the minions of the Devil's Child and the Cat as they try to regain their health and power. The problem is the minions.....Well, you will have to read the book to find out if anyone survives this battle and/or IF the Devil's Child and Cat return for Round Three or not....?

i think their great

I would just like to say i think all of these books are great.I love the way he writes about good and evil,I think Sam and Nydia are wonderful characters.I just wish their were more of these books to read.I would love to see Little Sam all grown up.

This book is true to Johnstone's horror formula!

THE DEVIL'S CAT sets up the characters and situations we've come to expect from Johnstone. Demons, zombies, and killer felines all make their way into this one. Sometimes the novel seemed bogged down with too many characters, but I found it a satisfying conclusion to the series. It's just as addictive as ever!
