She starts calling him at home. At first Alan's wife Judy brushes her off, but then Lucy sends a letter, and her concern begins to grow. Alan tries to put a stop to Lucy, but she just doesn't seem to get the message. Then Merle enters the scene. He also works in the building. Merle dreams of the soft life. He wants what Alan has-all of it.
