The Devil Doesn't Play With Fire

By Robert Petoletti

Something strange is going on at Hotel Axolotel, and it is affecting all sixty five of its residents: Tim Schoolcraft, a private detective, sobers up to realize that the hotel he considers home is under the influence of nefarious powers. Paranormal investigator Jayce Ruud and his assistant, Sandra, believe that dark forces are at work to disrupt the hotel's harmony and perhaps even the outside world. The ominous Damien Vandertramp uses occult practices, learned from his dead uncle, to manipulate his hotel neighbors into cooperating with some insidious agenda that Tim and Jayce hope to expose. Only a black cat who walks through walls and visits Sandra in her dreams holds the answer to hotel's dark and mysterious past as well as its future.
