This story surrounds the epic adventures of Wysan as he embarks on a quest to raise the first war party of bowmen and lead them on a campaign to rescues his beloved Dawn and her sister from an apeman tribe. A furious battle ensues between the 7-foot-tall brutal apemen, made more terrible through battles with hyenas and lions, and the 4-and-a-half-foot tall San. It is a story of many adventures and a bond of brotherhood that also details the discovery of the bow and arrow and its refinement as well as its first uses in both hunting and battle. The story also sheds light on the San people's ancient struggle for survival.John Arfstrom has published scientific research on the subject of glaciers on Mars in the journal Icarus.
