Customer Reviews

Nowhere close to being as spectacular as the first book

I was beyond excited for this book, I absolutely loved the first one and rushed to buy this one but the pacing is entirely different from the first book. The intro section drones on for the first like 200 pages and unless you were really into the military and fighting aspects of the first book it definitely feels like an unnecessary slog and just too much backstory for that particular character. The characters are also less fleshed out and really just feel phoned in and static as well. I'll probably buy the next book but currently not excited about the direction its going. Hopefully he'll get back on track, he's relatively new and the first book showed a lot of potential.

Everything I was hoping for

Just as enjoyable as the first book in the series.
