After one and a half years in the country, he was offered a permanent employment contract as a "Technical Support Engineer" with an international machine tool company in Derbyshire. In addition to sharing his adventures in looking for work, Ludwig also describes his leisure activities and housing search. After two years in a romantic old flat, the couple moves to a lovely country house on the edge of the Pennines. The birth of their first French/German daughter in the UK is a very special occasion for the young family.
