The Derby Disaster

The day had finally arrived Dirk woke up ready for the Lake Lighthouse Fishing Derby. He had his tackle box, fishing rod, life jacket, and whistle packed. On the way to the lake, he picked up his friends Cindy and Mark. During the truck ride, the three friends shared their excitement about the derby. Cindy said, "I hope we catch the most fish so we win the trophy " Dirk and his friends arrive at the derby. The sun was shining bright but they noticed the water was a little rough They loaded everything into their boat and set off into the middle of the lake. Dirk, Mark, and Cindy cast their fishing rods and wait patiently. After waiting for one hour, Dirk reels in a small pike and Cindy and Mark yell "NO FAIR We want one ". Cindy and Mark cast their lines once again when something surprising happens....
