Centuries ago the citizens of Earth except for true Christians, Muslims and Buddhists left the planet believing the Earth's sun was dying. But after four centuries Earth is rediscovered still in existence and the inhabitants are fine. This leaves citizens of the Galactic Federation wondering how the scientists could have been wrong or were they lied to? Arliss Mars of the planet Washington is curious at to why the cult, Children of Jehovah, continue to persist in their beliefs despite constant ridicule from most of the population. Then thousands of people disappear. All of them belonging to the cult. With this and other signs occurring will Arliss began to believe? Living on Earth as a Muslim all of her life, Aphra has believed in Allah. Then her sister vanishes into thin air before being executed for her conversion to Christianity. Will Aphra realize that she has been lied to throughout her life? Will she be able to escape her angry husband as she struggles with her new found faith? A new tyrant has taken control of the Federation and is forcing citizens to call him their god and worship him. Will the Resistance be able to fight this tyranny or will they fall in the process.
