Absolutely. I think this version represents Elliott and Jono as the heart of the story much better.
Sixteen-year-old Elliott and his best mate Jono have grown up chasing adventure together. In the Marlborough Sounds, with its hidden bays, isolated beaches and deep blue water, there is always somewhere new to explore.
But some parts of the Sounds are better left alone.
What begins as another adventure soon leads the boys towards something they were never supposed to find. A discovery beneath the water raises questions, and the deeper Elliott and Jono dig, the more they realise someone would rather those questions were never answered.
