Now I know some of you might be surprised by my choice to join the military (Navy). But let me tell you, the decision was a testament of God's grace and mercy. After much soul-searching and reflection, I made the decision to join the Navy. Growing up in a single-parent household in Chicago, I faced numerous challenges with crime and gangs affiliation that often led me down the wrong path. However, I refused to let my past behaviors define me. Instead, I choose to embrace a future filled with positive leadership and dedicated service to our great nation. Joining the military was not just about serving my country; It was about serving as an example to others who may have faced similar struggles. I wanted to show them that it's never too late to turn your life around and make a positive impact. I am incredibly humbled and grateful for the opportunity it afforded me to grow as an individual, to learn valuable skills, and to be part of a community that values honor, integrity, and selflessness. It also provided me with the structure, discipline, and support needed to become the best version of myself. Galatians 6:9
