Out of necessity, Akni leaves the area of the Sawags with his friends Dalom and Revi. The mornaghs are their guides. They travel back to the Faithful of Ro eh, the only place in Under-Earth where the mornaghs can find food. It is an impossible return. For friendship with the mornaghs means enmity with the Faithful. Nowhere is a safe place for Akni and the mornaghs. A new battle seems inevitable. Meanwhile, Akni desperately continues to search for the truth about Ro eh. But Ro eh remains silent and the answers to Akni's questions remain elusive.
