My hope is that this book is short enough you'll read it, easy enough to understand to finish it, validating enough to love it, and hopeful enough you'll take action.
Originally, this book was written as a kind of therapy for me. In 23 years, I've seen it, experienced it, wanted to fix it, and had to leave it. Educators from all backgrounds and levels of education are going to find themselves in this book at some point. You will feel the validation.
This book is not about complaints or blame. Through telling stories, this book will take you to the places that educators have seen the shifts. Unlike most books of this nature, I've included what I believe are the "asks" that could make a difference and turn this thing around.
I don't leave you with only validation- but also with hope.
