Dr. Stephen Thomas Jude, a former forensic pathologist turned FBI Special Agent, plays a small but important role in The Death of Death and will have a larger role in the forthcoming novels in the series. This is the first novel by Jordan Hanks, a biomedical scientist with a long history of scientific publications under a different name. The series is designed to introduce scientific issues that affect the public in a format that is more enjoyable than reading scientific texts, which the author highly recommends for insomnia.
