A teen girl must return to the deadly forest her mother escaped in the sequel to the New York Times bestseller, The Forest of Hands and Teeth, perfect for fans of The Last of Us. Years ago, Gabry's mother journeyed into the Forest of Hands and Teeth and came out the other side. She raised Gabry by the sea, where they've both lived quiet lives, protected by the barrier that surrounds their town. But life after the Return is never safe. And there are some threats no defenses can hold back. Gabry's mother thought she left her secrets behind, only like the dead in their world, secrets don't stay buried. And now Gabry's world is crumbling. All it takes is one night beyond the Barrier . . . one boy Gabry's known forever and one veiled in mystery . . . and everything changes. Now Gabry is sure of only one thing: if she is to have any hope of survival, she must face the forest of her mother's past.
I read this book when I was in my early 20s I had it for about four years and the cover made me not want to read it but I guess it’s true when they say never judge a book by its cover when I read the book it was so amazing. I am a horror fan and I never thought that it was a horror Book it was so amazing that I went and found the second series and third series to the book. I totally recommend anyone who’s into the unknown or horror Mysteries to get this, book you will not be disappointment. And just prepare yourself to spend another $12 cause you’re gonna want to get the other two series. 😂
Love this book and the series.

Let me start with the fact that I dont read often. I have a hard time finding books that peak my interest. But this series is by far my favorite. I can see myself in these books. I can envision myself there with the characters. Carrie's writing is so detailed that I can imagine everything that is going on. I highly recommend this series. Especially if you are looking for something that keeps you on your toes.
