The Dead Side

Sam is a former Marine who wakes up sitting on a gravestone in a cemetery with no memory of his past or knowledge of what is happening to him. He is conscripted into a brutal military organization as its column marches by. He is thrust into a world he doesn't understand among people who are as confused as he is. They are all kept in line by Sergeants who brutally beat anyone who steps out of line in the most minor way. He is a member of a squad of five men and three women in a camp housing thousands. They bond together as they struggle to survive in this alien, brutal world. They rebel when one of the women is raped. Fleeing for their lives, they seek safety away from the death which pursues them and surrounds them.
