A man and his 12-year-old son lose all hope of finding a sunken treasure in the Caribbean. Then one day a strange thing happens to the sea. This description may be from another edition of this product.
Who woulld have thought Mickey spillane would ever tackle a children's book? Well, he did and his efforts earned him a Junior Literary Guild Award for this tale of a man and his son's search for buried treasure. Today Mickey Spillane is 85-years-old, and acclaimed around the globe for inventing the hard-hitting, hard-boiled protagonist who is a compelling mix of sex and sharp shooting. It's hard to believe this many years have gone by for the Brooklyn born Spillane. He's outlasted and out sold many of his contemporaries, and when last heard from was still hard at work. Perhaps those of us who love to read don't take time to thank the writers who have given us so many hours of pleasure. I certainly fall into that category, so a big hats off to Mickey Spillane and gratitude for the wealth of reading pleasure he's given so many.
A treasure seekers delight

This youth story rivals The Hardy Boys, Tom Sawyer, or Huck Finn any day of the week -- and it does it with the Mickey Spillane style. A mysterious "rolling back" of the sea sets two young boys out on an adventurous search for sunkan treasure and a mystery unfolds. Mickey Spillane shows he can write childrens stories with the same quality of his famous Mike Hammer series. Great reading!
