For former Army Ranger Matthew Bierman, who once assisted in the rescue mission of Jessica Lynch during the Iraq War, his questions for God were many. He was induced into a coma and his parents were informed to prepare for his imminent death. Matt's perseverance and determination to live, however, stood strong. With the support of his family and friends, and the sheer iron will of his mother who absolutely refused the idea of his death, Matt Bierman awoke two months later. Throughout his recovery and the years which followed, he never stopped talking about the time during his coma when he walked along a clear blue river next to God.
