The Day and Night Lifestyle Journal is simple. Start with God and finish with Him too. The heart of this book stems from an encounter I had at the beginning of a global pandemic. For several months I had struggled with days that felt too long and nights that felt too short. I'd find myself dreading the work I needed to do, places I needed to go, and conversations I needed to have. By nightfall, I'd become so fearful of the next day, I would stay up late on social media because I just didn't want the morning to come so fast.In the midst of all of this I barely spent anytime with Jesus. Don't get me wrong, I would occasionally watch stuff online, talk about important things with friends, but I rarely spent quality time in God's presence. One morning I was so stressed with everything going on in my life that I asked God to help me to get to a better place. As clear as my own voice, I heard him say, "You need to redeem your mornings and your nights." For the next month I took inventory of how I had spent these hours and quickly realized the culprit of my anxiety. My schedule was full, but my soul was empty. My quiet time was so quiet that it led to my life becoming too loud. I finally picked up a Bible, a journal, and a sweet worship playlist and began meeting with God and slowly he began occupying all of the preoccupations I use to have.I found a peace that was no longer a place I needed to go, but a person I needed to know. Jesus met me in the morning, and He meets me in the night ---- He's the reason my days are now filled with insight. I created this guide to provide daily challenges, nightly refelections, and weekly check-ins to reimagine quiet time. I believe we were created to hear the relational voice of God everyday. So, let's make quiet time a little bit louder with "The Day & Night Lifestyle Journal."
