When a young girl named Casey finds a fallen star, she takes it home for safekeeping. Realizing the star is injured, she provides love and comfort as she nurses it back to life. From the young girl's compassion, the star comes back from the brink of vanishing and is the friend Casey has never had. Together, they take on the school bully and teach them a lesson about respecting others. When the time comes for the star to leave, it grants Casey her wish to reward her kindness.
