In the wake of World War I, a Man haunted with recurring nightmares of the horrors of war murders his family at the insistence of mysterious voices. The only survivor is his eldest daughter, Rose. Rose is sent to live in a convent near the Eastern Seaboard, where she grows to adulthood. Plagued by strange nightmares and memories of events that haven't happened, Rose comes to understand that the same demons which terrorized her father have come with her to the Convent.
