Easy reading. It is part of series. I find it helpful to read in order. Caught my attention that I wanted to sit down and read it non stop. Am looking forward to more books in the series.

Kristin Landon's THE DARK REACHES tells of the remnants of the human race who seek refuge on the Hidden Worlds only to find that after six centuries, word comes that humans may have survived in Earth's own solar system. The Cold Minds have returned to ferret them out, and it's up to a renegade pilot to help save the worlds.

A Highly Satisfying Conclusion to a Great Trilogy

The Dark Reaches is highly satisfying conclusion to the trilogy begun so promisingly with The Hidden Worlds, and continued with The Cold Minds. At the heart of this book is a more mature relationship between the two protagonists, which I enjoy very much. And if there is less tension between Linnea and Iain, that is more than made up in the more sophisticated interplay of desperate loyalties and deceptions that drives the plot, and brings the characters into such clear focus. And there are enough surprising (but quite believable) plot twists to keep the pages turning infectiously (I read the book in less than 24 hours, despite a full day of work in between). The Dark Reaches is clearly the product of a talented and hard-working author who continues to hone and deepen her skills! I look forward to her future works.
