Wasnt my cup of tea

This was the book chosen by my local book club this month. I have never been more conflicted on a book. The Dark Lords Guide to Dating (and other war crimes) by Tiffany Hunt, had me liking it at some parts, and hating it at others. The writing style at the beginning was not my vibe. It probably took me a 1/2 the book before I started enjoying the story. It seemed almost comical at first, but that wasn’t what I was expecting. The next section of the book the plot really started developing and moving the story line along. I enjoyed this part a lot! However, as the book wrapped up there were so many things left unfinished. It sort of acknowledges that the main character is forgetting something in the last sentence, but I feel like they forgot a lot of small details that weren’t wrapped up. I thought maybe it would wrap up in the next book of the series, but it seems that there may be more chaos instead of answers when I read the blurb on amazon. So over all 3⭐️, 3🌶️

Total Riot!

This was a riot and so much fun to read!!!! Yes, it is becoming very popular to have a morally grey mc, if not outright villain and then put them in situations were they get feelings and then try to figure out how to live with it but I am all for it! And this book hits all the right spots with humor, feelings, a bit of spicy spice and a good storyline that remains interesting and not just filler for the times between trysts. Both Kazimir and Arabella are great MCs with the best banter, willingness to compromise and find out just how perfect they are for each other and the grand plan to conquer the world (or at least get that silly heirloom artifact to work and not break into pieces!). It is a fun wild ride with both of them learning and growing and keeping certain stupid kings and hero's guild from their own plans for Arabella (thinking she is a helpless pawn needs to be rescued! Loved how she ends up dealing with them) I sped through this book and laughed uproariously at all the action and cannot wait to see how Kazimir and Arabella are going to handle the next step in their relationship and their plans to control the world (and keep it away from a certain scary dude who is the real villain!). I am so glad I got the chance to read this and I need the next book now!
