The Dark Collection: Eclectic Poetry

The Dark Collection is an eclectic collection of dark poetry showing struggles of life and the chaos of overthinking. These pages are filled with a multitude of emotions and chaotic thoughts. Which are often set in the tones of anguish and despair, and even pertaining to death or an end. Within these pages are a few positive poems hidden to break the darkness that encompasses us, and to draw back on the immense emotion and negativity that can be found within ourselves.

Distant Memory

My mind is always racing, my feet are always pacing

When I try to relax, my mind tries to replace me

I see the land I seek inside, to me it is a memory

Amidst my tears I hear the wind, it howls for me to yearn again

to fly about to distant lands, until the horizons part.

Along the river banks and oceans, we follow to my heart,

we seek the land of solace that we had been apart

with a peace within ourselves achieved, and merry sing a song

we finally became a part of the place, so we know where we belong
