The D o of Laozi: A Fresh Look Based on Bronze Inscription Glyphs re-visions the first 37 chapters of the D o D Jīng by exploring the pictorial scripts of Laozi's era. The result:
- adds useful layers for the student of the D o who enjoys comparing classic translations, and
- evokes a dreamy state for readers imagining what kinds of experiences Laozi had or intended to create in the reader when drawing these characters by hand more than 2,500 years ago.
The Second Edition adds reconstructed glyph images to the Glossary, line-numbers throughout the text for easy cross-reference to the Index, updated punctuation, and revisions to a handful of characters' translations.
