The Damascene Court

By Carlton Holden

Becca Goff is a domestic violence counselor in St. Augustine, Florida, whose fragile grip on reality has given way to a deadly mission she believes has been ordained by God. As she plots murder and attempts to rekindle a complicated relationship with her ex-lover Ezekiel, her carefully laid plans begin to unravel.

Then Hasan Al-Kabir enters her life.

Desperate to rid himself of his wife, Rabia-a member of Becca's counseling group-Hasan blackmails Becca into carrying out a brutal killing. But when their motives collide and neither is willing to surrender control, a dangerous alliance spirals into betrayal, violence, and chaos.

Now, with bodies at risk and secrets mounting, St. Johns County Sheriff Memphis Lillian launches a relentless pursuit of the two suspects. As the net closes in, Becca and Hasan must decide whether to trust each other-or destroy each other first.

In this gripping psychological thriller, faith, obsession, and vengeance collide with deadly consequences.
