The Curse of Raktavan

In the heart of central India lies the dense, ancient forest known as Raktavan, or the "Forest of Blood." This forest, shrouded in mystery and superstition, is home to an abandoned village and a forgotten temple. Local legends tell of a powerful curse placed upon the land, warning that those who enter the forest are never seen again. The tales speak of a deity angered by betrayal and a pact broken, leading to eternal punishment for those who dwelled there.
The village elders whisper of the temple at the forest's center, dedicated to the fierce deity Bhairava, an aspect of Lord Shiva associated with annihilation and protection. The deity was once venerated with blood sacrifices and dark rituals, believed to grant immense power and favor. But a grievous transgression against Bhairava brought down a curse upon the land, binding the souls of the villagers to the forest as its eternal guardians.
