Engaging and accessible suspense thriller, that is brought to life through the author's intimate knowledge of medicine. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and look forward to his next novel.

I don't usually read books the whole way through on the first day. However, I was so interested in the story, that I lost track of time! The characters and story were well thought out and with every page you never knew what to expect. For my money this book was well worth it. In fact I bought another one for a friend.
This book is one that you won't put down!

I don't normally read a book the whole way thru, however this book was one that I couldn't put down till I was finished. The character development and plot was well thought out. It left me on the edge of my seat wondering what was coming next. It was definately a thrill ride from the beginning to end.
The Cure.....a quick fix for summer weekend boredom!
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
"The Cure" by Zane Gates grabs you in the first chapter and says "read on...read on!" A medical thriller in the vein of Robin Cook, "The Cure" takes us from the poverty and despair of a New York prostitute to the exciting (yet corrupt and exploitive) world of medical experimentation for major profit. The payoff: a cure for cancer that comes from an unlikely source. It's a classic tale of good versus evil with sinister high government involvement but the twists and turns taken by the plot line have the reader guessing all the way. At 280 pages, "The Cure" has all the standard ingredients for a good read: drama, suspense, memorable characters, a solid plot, sex (but not much) and an easy writing style. it's an excellent read for a quiet weekend summer getaway.
