A desperate man escapes 1920's rural poverty in Ireland to find work in Barrow's shipyard, he helps build ships as he builds his new life in Barrow.

They are never ignored for long though, and in the tradition of the great wordsmiths before him, the full majesty and beauty of The Lakes in all seasons, is duly paid homage to. We poignantly visit Coniston pondering the most famous event unfolding all those years ago on that water; and appreciate Windermere down through the decades.
The industrial past is writ large upon the landscape, those unsung workers who toiled back in the mists of time, are brought to life once more by Dean Fraser.
