I was given this book as a gift and I love it! This is the first time that I've ever really felt validated for being an overachiever. The stories in this book are so inspiring, and the advice is very much on point and incredibly accessible. It is nice to know that I'm normal, and that there are other women out there like me who have had similar experiences. Reading this book made me feel inspired. Buy this book for yourself, and some for your friends.
Finally, Something That Makes Sense
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 17 years ago
When I found this book in a bookstore and started to read it, I was bouncing off the walls with excitement. I finally found something that made sense to me, and helped me understand who I am and why. It was a crucial breakthrough moment for me. It helped me grasp why I was having certain problems and feeling very stuck. It was the first "self-help" book I could relate to, which, in turn, has helped me figure out how to move forward. The information is very clear and straight forward. It is so unlike the reading you find in a heavy clinical psychology book, or in self-help books that seem to give little more than esoteric-type advice.
Very insightful

I don't think she was writting a piece on classical psychology. Cooper's translation of those classical concepts into the reality of our everyday world made this a useful and insightful tool. I feel like I finally understand why I've made some of the choices in my life. It's probably not good for someone wanting to criticaly study pschology. But for the person that would like to find some understanding and through that some peace I think you'll find it a great read.
