Good read

enjoyed this book

I didn’t enjoy it

I did manage to read the entire book. It really only needed to be about a little over half as long as it was. The rest of it was just describing the buildings, the furniture, people’s clothing, etc. the detectives interviews went on far too long. I ended up googling what happened in chapter blah blah blah just so I could get past it.

Badly written

If you like poorly written stories and weak character progression you’d find solace in this book

Amazing book!!

This book was amazing condition and the story just draws you in. I couldn’t put it down!!!!

Nearly down-and-out detective unravel a murder mystery.

The author creates memorable, if somewhat exaggerated, characters, some struggling with poverty and hard luck, contrasting with wealthy and privileged, in a complex murder mystery unravelled by Cormoran Strike and his resourceful temporary secretary. No matter the economic status of each, they all are contending with very human probably problems. The clues from suspicious behaviors and circumstances create some unexpectedly twists and turns that are satisfyingly pulled together in the end.

Really good book

I enjoyed the suspense and the writing style. I ordered the next book in the series.
