The setting was somewhere in West Africa in the Eastern region of a place that once used to be known as the Royal Niger Company Territories. Incidentally, power changed hands as the Queen's colonial government took the reins from the previous owners after buying it over. This was roughly around the last third of the 19th century.

Right in the midst of all these transitions were men who thought and acted differently; one of them wore a crown while the other acted like he wore one. Notwithstanding the general fate of their people and surroundings, they stood out...
